The Adventures of "Smart Ash"
Just me and my occasional ramblings!

The first saturday of every month The First Saturday Arts Market is held downtown where I live. It's basically lots of booths of art and things such as that. Well, Carole who was "The Woman" in the play is co-owner of FSAM. Well, Elicia and her hubby Mike run the food/drink booth. They have tri-tip and such as well as beer, wine and margaritas, (yummy!)

So, tonight during rehearsal Elicia says, "....So....what are you doing this weekend?"

Me: "Nothing...? Why, whadda-ya want?"
E: "Well, we could use your help at the arts market on saturday..."
M: "Ohhh, yea, Carole told me she'd put me to work if I wanted."
E: "Well, we could really use your help, you could serve..."
M: "....You want me do serve the alcohol...?"
E: "Can you serve it?"
M: "Yeah...? Why not."
E: "So you will come?"

And so on...I am working it...I guess it good for me...plus it looks good on my resume...

Rehearsal went okay...we got out early...about 8:45pm.....
Our actors were supposed to be off book....they were...but they called "line" a lot...and one of our main girls didn't do well at all....So D.F. (the director) told her to say behind...

So Elicia ran lines with her and I ....uh...sat and listened....

The guy who is playing Thomas Putnam had to go in the Emergency foot surgery and we had to find a new guy....and we did.....

Well, I best be off.....

You must live in Southern Cal or there is lots of stuff going on in Northern Cal that I'm missing. Margaritas sound good. They probably make some of the abstract art look lots better too.

Actually, my insurane company considers me a Nor Cal resident.
Margaritas do sound good...maybe nthey will make me one to drink while I serve...it would sure make some of the people look better...

I thought you were having all that fun in south cal. Guess it's not the location as much as it is the person. You fun - me not. I enjoy your enthusiasm.

Actually it's more of a recent thing for me. I only got involved in all of this 3 months or so ago. So it's new to me, being gone so much...weird because I see Elicia more than my mom a lot of the time. And my mom is not use to me being gone because I was, up until now a homebody. But now I
m gone a lot...but I love it. I am having so much fun with it all and I am meeting new people.

Maybe you should join the theatre? Lol. Actually, if I continue in this I'll never get married (unless I find a guy at the theatre who likes it as much as I do.)
