Ugh....okay...in the middle of our Laughing Wild run I got sick...my stomach hurt, I was FREEZING, all the flu like symptoms....so I went to the doctor....but I didn't have the flu... nope, I had a kidney infection...okay, cool, got antibiotics was on them for 1 week and I felt better..that was..July 29th....

Monday August 29th... back to the doctor because a few days before I started to feel the same...but not as bad... well, I apparently have another kidney infection...ugh...just what I need. I don't have the TIME to be sick... I'm a techie, techies DO NOT get sick... Either it went away and came back, or the medicine only supressed it and it came back...

The Crucible director and our costumer went to COS to check out costumes and left Elicia in charge...so she says to me, "Okay, we are going to switch into Laughing Wild mode...YOU take line notes and I'll take blocking notes." lol I only use about 40-60 paper clips...for the entire play...we did a run-thru....and it only took until 9:45pm...I still think we can shave 1/2 hour off the run time if the actors would get their lines down pat...

Mike is coming down to begin lights tonight... I think he's cutting it a bit close...3 days to do ALL the lights? I guess he knows what he's doing....We begin tech rehearsals on Monday...and then Tuesday and we have dress I and dress II Wednesday and Thursday....and we open next Friday...yikes!

Anyway....I better go back to school....and I have to be at work by noon...ugh....

WWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOO---HHHHHHOOOOOOO!!!

Elicia and I had our last night of prompting actors last night...promting is just fancy terminology for following the script and giving the actors lines when they forget and call 'line'.....

And last night was their last night... I thought we would never stop....I think we prompted for WWAAAYYYY too long....all that tells the actors is that, "Well, I am too damn lazy too look at my script today and get those lines right, but it's OKAY, they are still going to prompt. "

No more, woo-hoo! Except that we STILL have to follow the script and catch ANY and ALL line errors, everything from a BIG oooppps 'I totally missed the cue and line', to flipping things like, "She did not fly Goody Ann" back to "Goody Ann, she did not fly" .....

And to make matters worse Elicia and I are both VERY picky....we let very few things slide... Anyone who has ever worked with Elicia knows about her paper clips...she uses those to mark places the actors messed up....the only problem with those is that she has to write in her script and since I am anal I do not like the marks left over when you erase them... I use sticky tabs...I was the sticky tab line nazi for Laughing Wild and the only problem with those is that you can't re-use them and you go through them REALLY fast....last night I went through about....40 or 50 and I only prompted ONE scene...So I think when I go to Target I am going to try some paper clips...Elicia got this this neat pen eraser, it's so handy, I love it it makes it faster...I use lead pencils, (and ONLY lead pencils) when I write and it's hard to have an eraser on the end cuz you can't click the end...Again, something minor and stupid that I love....

I am gonna go see if I can find some clothes at Target...I went SEVERAL places yesterday and could not find anything....though I did buy 2 pairs of shoes.. and some nose rings.... and I looked at dog toys...hehe...I my LOVES raggedy toys....but I cant find one ANYWHERE....

I am gonna go....more later...

Yah know...working weekends kinda sucks... a lot of things that happen in the life happen on the weekends...family stuff, theatre performances, arts market...time with family, etc... And I only get 2 weekends a month.... On Saturday I work from 7am-1:30pm and then 3pm-5pm....and Sunday 7am-11am and 3pm-5pm.... granted the hours on sunday are not horrible it makes it REALLY hard... thought I am glad I worked this weekend....weekends are when I get most of my hours on my paycheck... and now I don't work next weekend, sweet!

I went to Crucible rehearsal on my lunch break Saturday...and sunday I came home and vacuumed out our boat and washed it...and low and behold...it's not a tan and brown boat, it's yellow! Ha! Imagine that...

I got new bedding with some of my casino $$...I bought new sheets and pillows and a comforter...I felt bold...the sheets a striped with light and BRIGHT shades of Blue, Green and Purple....and the comforter is a pretty and semi bright teal blue...it's really pretty... I also got more scrapbooking stuff....I bought a new scrapbook and a box of pinking shears...I have wanted them for SOOOOO long, and now I finally got them! YES! Wow...how lame is it that I am excited about having scissors that cut different ways? hahaha... There are 12 pairs in the box...I love 'em... I also got a couple reams of BRIGHT colored paper for my scrapbooking...

Hmmm....I've been on a bright color kick lately....

Oh, Oh! I have also began knitting again....I already made 2 beanies and I am working a a scarf...all bright colors...kinda looks like I tye-dyed them...

Well...enough jibber-jabber..... I have to go to bed....I have to get up at 5am to get ready for school....

Well...long time no update....I don't have much to say....

I had a Radio TBS rehearsal today...I am almost off-book with my 2nd scene...and I have barely looked at my first one...

Got a sticker made for my car window....and then picked the brat up from school....went home...washed my car....went down to the theatre to open up the theatre and give the director his keys... went and got a soda and came back to the theatre for Crucible rehearsal...

On the way out Elicia says, "OHHH, Ash, have they told you your new nickname yet?" Uh-oh...should I be afraid? I asked....

No, it's not bad....Smit....my Crucible nickname is Smit....even though I have stage managed Laughing Wild, I am only working on my 2nd play and I am ASM'ing under *THE BEST* aka Elicia. Smit means Stage.Manager.In.Training...So for Crucible I am Smit...and for Radio TBS I am Miss Manatee and/or Sea Cow....

School is going fine...I got docked 3 pointds on both of my 10pt essays because I had 1 1/2 inch margins and not 1 inch margins...Not quite livid...but VERY ticked about it....

No school tomarrow, but work and rehearsal....AND I have to work Saturday and Sunday....but at least I am off for Arts Market....

I am tired...yet I can't sleep during the day...Oh well...

Well school is out...I thought I would never make it my computer class...it's SOOO boring!

Well...I went to the casino Saturday....came home with about $550 more than I took...swEEt...

Had rehearsal for Radio TBS. on Sunday...only 4 people showed up.... this is going to be an even harder role than I thought....In addition to the fat suit I will have a nasty wig...some hideous moles and very thick most likely unibrow...GREAT....I was self-concious enough about going onstage this all just makes in a trillion times worse....

Plus, the fact that she wants the lines delivered even slower than I had read before...and etc etc...

This character is 180% my opposite.... EVERYTHING about her is different than me...I tried and tried....I could not find ONE similarity....

I guess why it's called acting....

Your weekend consists of Monday, and only Monday.
You know more than one theory for the origin of the name "green room."
You can only read from a light that is blue.
You consider the red part of the stoplight the "standby."
You can't remember what daylight looks like.
You feel naked without your keys attached to your belt loop, or your belt without your Maglite, Leatherman, and Gerber.
You know tie-line has several uses---shoelaces, belts, ponytail holders...
95% of your wardrobe is black.
You watch the Super Bowl, waiting for intermission, not half-time.
You tell more stories of what went wrong on shows you've done than what went smoothly.
You start wondering what it feels like to be a prop.
You know anything can be fixed with gaff tape, Mortite, sculpt-er-coat, a sharpie, tie-line, and a safety pin.
Your diet consists of fast food or microwaved food.
Your Halloween costume in some way utilizes running blacks and gaff tape.
Varying your diet means ordering the #2 instead of the #3 or eating with your left hand instead of your right.
You insist on spelling "theatre" with an "re" not an "er".
People recognize you by the sound of your keys jingling down the hallway.
Going to a restaurant means ordering and sitting down in McDonald's rather than the drive-thru.
"Practical," "Drop," and "flat" are nouns.
Instead of saying that you're leaving, you say you're "exiting."
At home, you "strike" your dishes to the kitchen.
If someone asks you what time it is, you respond with something like, "Half hour 'til half hour."

Wow...my alarm went off 15 mins early this morning...not only did it go off early, but it was on top of my desk....therefore forcing ME out of bed, turn on the light, find the blasted clock....

Got ready....went to school....still getting use to being at school at 6am...but I like the parking.... After class I sat in my car and did homework...and OMG....the spray tanner worked...on my legs...yes...here...there, darker lighter...OOOppps !!! missed 2 MAJOR spots... ouch! To make matters worse I was wearing a skirt.

So, last night at rehearsal Elicia...all excited came up to me and said, "Look!" *pointing to nose* cute little nose piercing...TOTALLY jealous...I had wanted that for 1 1/2 years now... Grrr....Ersh, you suck... I came home...told my mom...ouch, there's a no-no...she and my dad disapprove....but say they can't tell me what I can and can't do since I'm 18... Gee, I wish they acted like that in other instances...Oh, but I could get a small tattoo...

Okay, okay, let's get this straight...I CAN'T get my nose or eyebrow pierced...keeping in mind it can come out when I get tired of it or start teaching...however I CAN get a permenant tattoo? Can someone tell me how this makes sense?

Whatever....

So, I did the next best things as to not piss people off..... and go and pierce my eyebrow or nose I got a fake nose stud and pierced my left cartilage in my ear, AGAIN.

I don't go binge drinking and getting drunk, I don't stay out late (without permission), I don't do drugs, I'm not some easy whore-able girl....

Everyone seems to think I am this prim and propper goody good who has never done anything wrong and has a 4.0 gpa and thinks she is better than all those around her...

Now, I am sure as heck none of the above....but I don't rebel...though I seriously thought about it last night....a rockin' party, drugged and boozed up....tats and several piercings....No, kidding...SO TOTALLY KIDDING....but it did really make me frusterated.

Anyway rehearsal went slow and so Elicia and I went up to the lobby to run lines for the show we're in and I got to talk to her about some stuff that was bothing me that involved her and Mike and some stuff....turns out that what I had thought was wrong and I didn't need to dwell on it...though I am the type to do that no matter what...so I really did not feel better after talking...but she assured me that she was there for me. I needed that. Not to say that I can't talk to family, but it's nice to have someone outside those walls to confide in too.

Went to school today...then went to work...ugh 5 hours...and VERY few dogs were there....so I did get some homework done...kewl...

When I sat down behind E. tonight at rehearsal...she turned around to say something...turned back and did a double take, it was funny...she thinks my nose stud is real...or thought...
Rehearsal was SOOOOOOOOOOO long...we did a run through of the whole thing...well...actually we skipped 2 scenes...and I was home by....9:45pm? OUCH.

Dennis, the director, asked me if I would do line drills with one of the actors tomarrow night and then had me do some with our "Abby" tonight.

Oh, and he cancelled Saturday's rehearsal, SCORE!!!!!!!!!! Though E. had decided to not be there anyway, she and Mike are going to the beach....fine. Leave me, AGAIN, with the work. I've never missed a rehearsal, but she's missed 4? at least. It's not really hard...just VERY frusterating at points.

Anyway, I best go finish my english essay...it's due tomarrow....and it's already 10:49pm.

On Mondays and Wednesdays I have Int Math 230 at 6am and then Computer 130 at 8:10am...and then I am done for the day...on Tuesdays and Thursdays I have Int Math 230 at 6am, English 001 at 7:40am and Child Development 039/Psychology 039 at 9:10am....

We got homework and what not in Math... thank GOD it's only an hour long class, I do not think I could take any more then that....

English...WOW, we had 16 crashers! (Students who come and try to take the places of students who do not show up the first day of class) and we had tons of people sitting on the floors...seating is for....25? Maybe 30? The teacher is...nice...but she has a 'reputation' I guess...she's very tough and things like that...to be honest she kinda freaked me out...yet nonetheless I liked her for some very odd and yet unknown reason...

Then she said it was not recomended to take more than 12 units AND have english 1 AND any math class...OUCH...I have about ....14 or 16 units....English 01 AND one tough math class... I am one of VERY few first years in the english class...The placement test put me at the VERY top of the english and very high in math...I think I just got LUCKY.

Child Development...OMG...it's in a lecture hall...it's going to be SOOOOOOOOOOOOO boring!!!! And it's about a 1 1/2 - 2 hour class.... EEEKKKK!!!!!!!!!! And there are about 125 people in the class...the upside? The teacher won't be giving essays because there are so many of us...SCORE!

Well.....on a non school note, I have vowed to NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER use tan-in-a-can....well I have been teased enough....(I am good about joking around and teasing and then others dishing out me some...but there is a limit, now it's just repetious [it that a word?] and annoying, and I am sick of it) So I thought abotu it...then I though about how hard it is to rub on an even tan, w/o looking fake, etc, etc...and so I broke down and bought this spray stuff... I hope it works...

Well, I ended up not going to dinner last night because they went at 7pm and not 6pm...rehearsal was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO boring....and listening to them sing.... OUCH, some were good, but some, like me, can't carry a tune in a bucket if their lives depended on it and SHOULD NOT sing...no offense guys...Oh, and the our 'Sarah Good' quit the play...the director came up with 3 ideas to replace her...Elicia, Me and another girl.... Luckly the other girl decided to do it....thank goodness...

Well...shower and tan-n-a-can and homework time....

More later....

*roll over look at clock*

5:04am....

*roll back over, face wall, fall asleep*

BEEP BEEP BEEP!!!!!!!!!

Damn...5:15am already....

Sooo, I got up and dressed and put on the coffee and curled my hair and grabbed my backpack...and off to school by 5:45am....

1/2 way down the street.... "Gee, I wonder what room my first class is in...I'll just..."

Damn, again, left my schedule at home....turn around...go inside, get the schedule....on my way...

The BEST part about being there at 6am? GREAT parking haha...

My first class...Math 230, (aka, Intermediate Algebra/ Algebra II) sit in back row....*thinking*
"Ugh, I'm SOOO not a morning person...this is going to kill me...."

Oddly enough, the teacher, in the midst of his going over class stuff says, "If your not a morning person, your going to die..."

OMFG!!!!!!!!! Are you KIDDING me!?!?!? Either I projected that thought into his head, (Gee, I'm getting good, maybe I won't need a headset anymore) OR well...what else could it be?

Sooo, he lets us out at 6:30...I come home check my e-mail...go back to my computer class... Saw my friend J.Loo....I haven't seen her since graduation, sweet girl. Found my class, Computer 130... Oh goodness, CAKE class and it's 4 units! Sweet!

Got out about...9:15am...went to work to get my check...cashed the check...picked up my sister...went to the mall and got my liscense plate frame made. It's silver and in sparkly silver and black writing it says "Techies do it in the dark." Hehehe, now, I don't know what YOU are thinking, but I am a techie and we change sets in the dark and such....therefore, techies DO do it in the dark.....

Then we went to wash my car...I have to go to a touchless one because my mirrors do not fold in and the other one would break them off...then I went to Wal*mart to get my oil changed....the stupid light would NOT go off... 'change oil soon' it says...FINE, I WILL.... Wait time? estimated 2:15...great...SO my sister and I went to round table for the lunch buffet...I don't know why...they never have more than 2 pizza's to choose from...AND bad idea..we're going to dinner tonight...eekkk....

Ally calls during lunch...and she came and picked us up....took the rugrat home...and we went to the vet office to pick up dog food and then back to her house to check out some pictures... Then we went to pick up my car and we did some shopping....
I got mats for my car, yay! Sad that I'm excited about that isn't it? I guess I'm getting old... Then again, if I am old..there is no hope for my "elders"....

And then I went to longs and then to Target and then to Kragen and then back to the mall and then came home....

I tried to put my frame on my plate...because I have the plates...but they are April 2005...and I have not gotten updated stickers in the mail yet...It says 90 days...and it's only been about 45... so or...

So, I put the frame on anyway....hahaha....

I got a flash drive for my computer, YES! If you don't know what that is, it's like a little plug that you plug into your usb cable line....you use it instead of a floppy disk...it's for newer computers... and it's holds the equivalent of about 80 floppy disks....

So...that's all for now...I might post about how the prolouge for Crucible went later...

Oh, and just so you know, the "Change Oil Soon" light in my car...? It's still on...

Got home about 11am...showered...went to P-ville to pick up Chelsea...came home and went right back to work...was a little late...but I stayed after...

Got home...went to costco....and the grocery store...got some coffee to keep me awake for class tomarrow morning at 6AM!!

Maybe I am crazy....

Yea...don't answer that....rhetorical question....

So tomarrow night we are blocking the prologue for the play...it's this song and hymn...and stuff...and the ENTIRE cast will be there... But my mom's parents and some others are coming to Hometown Buffet for dinnner so we are going....and I will be late to rehearsal....

Everyone says I need a tan...maybe I'll go out to the pool and bake tomarrow....

Maybe I'll just go to bed now....

So at work...the outside kennels are about 6 inches ...maybe a little more...and I went inside a kennel to turn on the water line and when I went to step outside of the kennel the dog raced in, and tripped me and I triped down to the ground and if that was not bad enough the sidewalk was wet (because I had JUST sprayed it off...) and I slipped and tweaked my ankle....

Ugh, stupid dog....

So, I went home and showered....and then my parental units and I went to Tom's house (Shelley's boyfriend) for Shelley's suprise party...well, just as we pulled up Shelley and Elicia were walking up....0o0o0ohhhh...busted....

We had a nice time... I won't go into all the stuff that happened...it's kinda like... "Well, guess yah had to be there" type stuff....but we joked a lot....good times...had part of a margarita... (c/o Mike) and then when it got 1/2 way down I filled it up with water.... started on a strawberry daqueri....but it was too sweet.....

Continued my food fight with Mike...(by putting cake in his face while he was serving ice cream.) I'm sure he'll get me back...I guess it's a techie thing, haha....

Didn't talk much about theatre....kinda weird being around MnE and not talking about theatre stuff.... But what we did talk about was jokes...hahaha, and everyone was like..."what? T.H. are yall talkin' 'bout...?"

Hehehe....

Well...work tomarrow...AGAIN....and then school begins bright and early (6am) Monday Morning! YAY.....

Well, last night Elicia and Mike went to dinner with Shelley and Tom therefore I was at rehearsal without Elicia.... Thanks Elicia...I...nevermind...

So our actors all showed up a little late...and then we began.... Mr. Director man changed some of the blocking...AGAIN....I really think that I am going to wear a hole in the paper before I get the permenant blocking down.... And to top it off, I had to not only be on stage because one of our actors is on vacation, but I also had to promt lines....

Now, when the actors first went off book, (meaning they don't read out of the script and lines are ideally memorized), the director would yell at Elicia and I if we would give a line before the actors called "LINE"...so we now wait until "line" is called...except that if the actor sits up there....and won't call line...we just sit there silent for fear of being yelled at and then the director gives them the line and give us one of those "Aren't you paying attention, why didn't you give the line?" Look....

UGH!!!!!!!!

I don't think the director likes me very much....he will talk to me if Elicia is not there...but if she is he will only call her over to tell her things and then she has to relay them to me...

Oh, and when it came time for us to get a 10min break the actors were like NO NO, let's work through it so we can get out early.... "Kewl" I think.... "I say that to myself EVERY night."

Well, not only did we work through the break, we worked until after our normal get-out time until about 9:20...we usual are out at 9... So, no break and we worked later...I REALLY think he likes tourturing us....

Whatever....

Learn an Oakie / Sourthern dialect?

Yeah, we do, for Radio TBS. So last night Elicia practiced until we began rehearsal, it was SOOOO funny! Neither of us are great at it....but goodness it was funny....

We wuz talkin' 'bout lotsa stuff, n are accentz.... and mIIke wuz makin' fun and I thretined to knowck him off his ladduah...

And then they started teasing me about the sea cow...oh god....I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER live that one down...

I always have fun with them though, it's like a capping contest...we should SO be televised..and then we could have an audience vote on who wins....

Well...my room is a mess....again....God only knows how it gets that way because I am never home....but I best go and clean it before I go down to the school to help out Renee (A former teacher anf friend of mine...)

Okay, so today I went to work at 12....boring...

I got to leave about 10 mins early and I went home and showered and went to the theatre...
There I met Mike and Elicia and Dennis the director....
We started to hang curtains...OMG....we had to take down some curtain rods and put OUT the hooks and then re-position them and oh goodness....

But Mike...goodness...that poor guy is just an accident looking for a place to happen...
Our motto is "We're now done working until someone gets hurt..." and when Mike gets hurt we can all go home, haha....kidding...anyway... He left the wrench on the ladder and as he moved it it fell off and hit him in the head....we took him back to the greenroom and he was bleeding, so Elicia tried to kinda clean it up...and we "applied pressure" cuz we knew the head bleeds like crazy, but his was okay....he had a cut about.... ----- <---that big, lol.... and he put his hat back on and kept going...we did make him stop a couple times to check and make sure it was okay.... and then when he was hammering a hook into the ceiling and hit his hand... the broken fingers, nonetheless (remember when he slammed them in his truck door? He fractured them...)

Then the actors began showing up, (and getting in our way) and Elicia sat down to prompt lines...and Mike and I continued hanging curtains... We did not finish hanging them.... we hang one wing of curtains and the backdrop....so that's....7...? and we have 3 or 4 more....

Some of my books for school came.....2 HUGE math books with a cd and then my child development books with a cd....now I wait for my English and Computer books....
Frekin' expensive!!! About....hmm...$171 + $230....= $401... JUST on books!!!!! EEEkkk, I guess it's a good thing that I...(or the parental units) don't have to play for my classes...

When I went to pay for my classes I found out I got a grant....hopefully it goes for the whole year...THAT would be great....

Well...no work tomarrow.....and rehearsal as usual....but Elicia is not gonna be there...she and Mike are going to dinner with her best friend Shelley and her boyfriend Tom....for Shelley's birthday....

Gee, thanks E....now I have to stand in for the vacationing actors AND prompt lines and blocking for the actors..... Grrrr......

Many moons ago, Dr. J, (the vet where I work) decided as a birthday present to herself, she would NEVER work another Wednesday again.

And to today it stands...so there are only at any given point 2 people max at the office. Well, the lady the works behind the desk. Sharon, had shoulder surgery a few weeks ago and so I have to go in early because she can't be alone, (although she was doing fine and picking her dog up did not seem to be a problem...)

Anyway, because of this last week and today I have to go in 2 hours early... (memorizing line time I guess?) Well, it kinda sucks...cuz I loose those 2 hours...but what sucks even more is that I have to be down at the theatre by 5:15-30 ish.... so we can hang the curtains....

When we did the strike for Laughing Wild we took the curtains down, but did not put them away because Dennis, the Crucible director wanted them back up....

Now, the problem is, is that the director wants them so far back that we have to put in more hooks to hold the curtain bars because they have never been put back that far....and that is not so bad except we have to be to the ceiling on ladders, and I am the next in line...Mike and then me because Elicia is short and the director would either fall or break the ladder...

AND it's hotter than heck that high up....

So, not only do we have to put in hooks to hold the bars, we have to more the bars...and those ARE NOT light bars... and THEN to put the icing on the cake we have put the curtains back up on the rods....and these are heavy suckers too! There are big heavy chains in the bottom of these curtains to make sure they stay on the floor... and we don't just get to lift and hook them on..Noooo see THAT would be WAY too easy....
Not only do we have to hook each indiviadual curtain hook on, but we have to tie them so they don't fall off...

Elicia said to be there by about 5:30...(We all get off at 5...gee, straight home...I mean...to the theatre)....and there is only Elicia, Mike, me and Dennis.... ugh....

Even though I will probably get hot and kinda sweaty I would still like a shower BEFORE I go so it's not double bad...it's already going to be bad because I have been outside in the heat working with dogs for the last 5 hours....maybe I can ask to leave a few minutes early?

If I get home by 5 I can shower and leave by....5:20? That would be nice...

WOULD BE being the opprative term(s)....

_________________________________________________

Yah-know...I still REALLY don't wanna wear a fat suit... It's gonna suck.... I'm already being called a sea cow....

And Mike...if he says anything...else...about me and E 'crossing over' I swear I am gonna push him off that ladder and BREAK his pinky that he slammed in the door and didn't break...

And if eating and breathing theatre is not bad enough, I had this horrible dream about Radio TBS that I won't even get into...but it resulted in being unprepeared on account of no communicatoin and I QUIT.

Well, shyt-takkee.....I have been found out...

The face on the milk carton....(or on CrazedMomOf3's blog)...

That is me... a few months ago at my graduation....

So, what blew it, what exactly gave it away?

I thought I was safe with the theatre stuff, cuz I have not seen you all since I've began...and with the car too, I have not had the car but about 1 month.

But here I am....I am THE TECHIE....

Hear me post, Hahahahaha!!!!!!!!! Or....see....

Either way, I have to work tomarrow at noon...and then straight to the theatre after work for some tech stuff....

Sooo... the Radio TBS director called me today...she wanted me to come to the friday rehearsal but I can't go to the rehearsal because I have to work... I talked to her for a little while...I told her I really didn't think I could do the part...and that the thought of going onto stage totally freaked me out...and she said she would "hold my hand".... Not exactly the answer I was looking for.... I really am terrified of this...

And then when I got to rehearsal I told Elicia and I said, "Yah-know, you were the one freaking out before you had the part, and now I am freking out and you are not worried at all... You are supposed to be the one freaking out...I am supposed to be the support... "

She just laughed at me and said she was worried to...and that Sharon, (the RTBS director) would not bring us valium, but maybe intoxicate us.... lol, kidding....or, maybe not...I've only met the lady once...

Anyhow, I am sooooooooo freaked.....I can't do this....

Or...something like that....

I am FREAKING out here!!!!!!!!!!!

This whole part...in Radio TBS....I can't...do it....I just don't think I can....it's a REALLY small part... I have 2 scenes in it...One with "my mom" and another with "the ettiqiutte lady" (sp?) and then there is the nativity scene I have a 1 word sentence in the midst of my eating....

I am bad at memorizing....and I HATE being onstage... Elicia is supposed to be the one nervous about going onstage, NOT me! I am suppost to be the support "Hey E, you can do it..." but NOOOO I am the source, I am the one freaking out because I can't act and I hate being under the lights and I hate being in front of large crowds of people....

And the one spot I have a small paragraph....I am CENTER stage, ALONE, with a frekin spotlight on me!!!

Gee, Mike will have fun with THAT one!

I can't do this....

I am gonna have a panic attack before I even begin my rehearsals....omg...omg...What am I gonna do?

I tried to memorize the stupid little paragraph and it just goes in and then right back out....and yet Elicia has already memorized part of hers.....

:-(

OOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMFFFFFFFFFFFFFFGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!

Elicia, I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No...kidding actually, but I'm still mad at you!

Ok, I think I said that enough for the both of us... When she dropped me off at home though I did tell her I did not really hate her, it just made me feel better...she said the same...and that we'd both be saying it A LOT more....

WWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

You may ask, are they saying this?

Well, remember when I talked about the director for Radio TBS wanting Elicia to be IN the play?

Well, when we got there...the director kinda made it as if Elicia WAS in the play, Elicia even read the part....

WELL, BEFORE we read...as people were showing up...I was informed that there was a part right up my alley....GREAT!!! The girl is about...err....The script says "late teens" like 18-23 it says. Well...The character description for this character is as follows: Pauline's rather large daughter who isn't particularly concerned with anything. Late teens.
So, the director asked me to read that part....

Meanwhile Elicia and I are sitting there trying to write down all the dates we have conflicting....(Keeping in mind that we are also stage managing The Crucible.)

And...we were SUPPOSED to be stage managing this play too...Same as Crucible Elicia-SM and Me-ASM.....

I could tell Elicia half heartedly wanted to do it....and while the director was pushing me to be in the play....Elicia says, "Well...I'll do it...if YOU do it..."

But by then everyone was there and we began the read-around.

Well, after we read the parts the director just "went with the flow" assuming E and I had taken the parts....(Thanks E, again, I hate you!)

Turns out...I play somewhat-of a larger girl....and I have to wear a "fat suit".....I have to be about....300-400 lbs! Or at least look that way....

Gee, now THERE'S a confidence booster....

Oh, and if the fat suit is not bad enough... EVERY scene I am in I have to be eating....the first scene I have a HUGE bowl of cereal that I have to eat, the 2nd scene I am lounging while eating a rather large amount of M'n'M's....and during the group nativity scene...I pull out a candy bar....and when I finish that I pull a bag of chips out of my robes......

I guess all the weight I am loosing for the Crucible will be gained right back? But E and I decided that I can buy candy bars and just use the wrapper, I can put granola bars or those diet power bars in the candy wrappers.

....Oh lord....what have I gotten myself into....

I did say that Elicia is in this play as well?

Yea, I think I did....

So, now we are co-stage managers AND in the play....

Mike was giving her a hard time on the way home...I don't know what he said exactly, but from what E was responding, he was poking fun at her being a techie-actor crossover...and then he joked about neither of us being able to "Cross back over."

And then he asked E to drive by their house and roll down the window so he could throw pizza at me.... LOL, I guess maybe I didn't talk about THAT...

Last night at the arts market we kinda got into a pizza/ice fight.... Yea...'nuff said.

So, as for my title...a "Valium Drive" kidding about the drive....but not as far as needing it....

Elicia freaks out when going onstage as herself to talk to the audience before the show....and when I got up in class to do part of Carole's Laughing Wild monologue, I seriously almost had a panic attack.....I though my heart would beat out of my chest....and I forgot the order and most of the lines...lucky for me the people there had no clue as none of them had read or seen the play.

Well....school starts next week and I should probably learn my lines NOW when I have no homework.....

More later!

This is the FSAM logo... imagine it on a bright lime green shirt.... Some of them have just this on the front, and others have this logo on the back with "Got Art?" on the front.

Kinda funky, but still fun. I guess you've got to be a little bit crazy/weird to be inolved with "the arts"...the neat thing about it, is that some people are way out there, and others, like me, just on the edge, yet no matter where you are it's considered, (it the art world) normal....and knowone looks at you funny....that is unless you are not in 'the arts' ....then you might just think some people were downright CrAzY!!!!

Hahaha, speaking of "CrAzY" Elicia where running lines from Laughing Wild when we had down moments....hahaha, we had fun.... I think our favorite line...(because it did get crowded at points behind the table) was, "Would you please MOVE a$$h0le!!!!!!!!!!!!"

lol, When I saw Mike at savemart, he went home and told Elicia he had seen me...and she said, "Well, did you walk up behind her and say 'Would you please move a$$h0le!?!?!?' " hahaha, people would have though he was crazy....and I would have laughed and said, "Are you trying to mugg me?" (That's just another line from the play, lol)

Well, I better go showr and get ready, I have to run some errands before Elicia picks me up.

Well, today was the FSAM! It was SOOOOO fun!

I got there about 2:30pm and wait for Elicia and Mike...when they got there we set up the 'easy- ups' (covers) and then set up table and everything....got the stuff set up....

Mike quickly made the first round of margaritas, yah-know, to make sure the mix was still good... I took about 1/2 a cup...yet everytime there would be lil extra we'd throw it in one of our cups, hahaha....Mike put on the tri-tip (for the tri-tip dinner/sandwiches) and Elicia began making margaritas...which I quickly took over, fun stuff....I served the beer and corona and margaritas....it was cool to do that....haha, I felt SO important....lol...just kidding....

After about 1 1/2 and God only knows how many margaritas (Probably 1 1/2-2 for me) Elicia and I decided the Peach-Hazel tea was gonna be right up our alley and we drank that for most of the rest of the night...

Things over all...well, they went OKAY....After two years the health inspector showed up, (She looked like some young hippee...ugh..) And she decided that would could not sell anymore tri-tip... GREAT!!!!! So, we lost about $300....

What happened is, is that Mike went to Costco and bought the meat and then took it home and opened it to marinate it and then he and Elicia wrapped it up in that shrink wrap stuff...Well, apparently THAT is a NO-NO....So we have to buy marinated meat now...which adds about $3-$4 to each tri-tip...and there pretty much the only spice we can use it the pappy's power... For whatever reason anything else is a violation...whatever...

So, we had 2 huge tri-tips on the grill that we could not sell...so we had to give it all away, (and we had just sent someone to get MORE rolls for the sandwiches because they were selling so well...) Great!

Otherwise things were good....

Carole made us try on Arts Market t-shirts....Bright lime green with the logo...For some odd reason...I totally love it...hahaha... and so I now have one...

I am so excited for the next one!

Does that make me lame?

I hope not...

For the record, the Arts Market is totally relevant to the theatre thing....because almost EVERYONE doing the main stuff is from the Ice House Theatre. They are all awesome people, I love being around them....

I think my mom appriciates it too, that is because they have 'pulled me out of my shell' and I do things I would not normally do....not really BAD.... or too bad, lol...

I guess I AM corrupt... lol...

Or maybe now I am just normal....

Hmm...that's boring...

I'll go with corrupt...

I'ma rebel now...haahaaha!

So...tomarrow (Sunday) We have our first Radio TBS rehearsal....Elicia is going to pick me up about 12:30...and we are gonna go....

So, maybe I should get some sleep....

The first saturday of every month The First Saturday Arts Market is held downtown where I live. It's basically lots of booths of art and things such as that. Well, Carole who was "The Woman" in the play is co-owner of FSAM. Well, Elicia and her hubby Mike run the food/drink booth. They have tri-tip and such as well as beer, wine and margaritas, (yummy!)

So, tonight during rehearsal Elicia says, "....So....what are you doing this weekend?"

Me: "Nothing...? Why, whadda-ya want?"
E: "Well, we could use your help at the arts market on saturday..."
M: "Ohhh, yea, Carole told me she'd put me to work if I wanted."
E: "Well, we could really use your help, you could serve..."
M: "....You want me do serve the alcohol...?"
E: "Can you serve it?"
M: "Yeah...? Why not."
E: "So you will come?"

And so on...I am working it...I guess it good for me...plus it looks good on my resume...

Rehearsal went okay...we got out early...about 8:45pm.....
Our actors were supposed to be off book....they were...but they called "line" a lot...and one of our main girls didn't do well at all....So D.F. (the director) told her to say behind...

So Elicia ran lines with her and I ....uh...sat and listened....

The guy who is playing Thomas Putnam had to go in the Emergency foot surgery and we had to find a new guy....and we did.....

Well, I best be off.....

No...kidding...we don't actually say that...we just think it actually...

It's more of...not what might happen, but what WILL happen....

The AC broke like 3 times...yet not during rehearsal when we could take it easy..noooo....during our run! They finally just replaced it...

Then other minor things...like I forgot Clarks podium w/ crystals...so I had to go on IN THE MIDDLE of his monologue... and then the minor over pulling the curtain...forgetting to turn the timers for the AC back on....and forgetting Clark's costume for when he changes in the wings...that was a good one...

So I'm sitting there thinking to myself "Ok...Clark comes off to CHANGE, and I go change the ....OH SHYT!!!!!!! He has nothing to change to!!!!!" So I fly back to the greenroom to get his costume and then run back to the wings to give him his costume where I literally run into Elicia and then we have to run out to change the set...luckly everything went okay...it was kinda funny after the fact...

Oh, and as or my haircut crisis...I called the Gottchalks salon and was like "Umm, do you have a sylist there by the name of Flo...?" and the lady on the other line was like, "This is her." and I said "Thank God, can I get an appt with you to cut my hair?" She laughed...

OMG, I almost cried...what would I have done w/o her?

Well...my appt is in 1/2 hour...I better go finish getting ready...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What am I gonna do!?!?!?!?!?

I called to get an appointment with my hair stylist...only to find out that she does NOT WORK THERE ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!! OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flo has cut my hair since...uhh...since....well, for a long time....at least 3 or 4 years....

The 2 times I went elsewhere (When she was off work cuz she got hit by a car) I went to supercut and the girl cut it so uneven I had to go get it re-cut and even shorter than I wanted....and then once I went to another lady IN the salon Flo was in and I wanted LONG layers....So I said to the lady...
"I want LONG layers. Keep the length, DO NOT cut the length, just make sure it's even and then give me 1 - 1 1/2" layers..."
Well...she cut about 3 or 4 inches off the length and cut the layers 2".... And that would have been fine if my hair was not already fairly short....

I love my hair, my any stylist who is not Flo who touches it and screws it up...shall DIE.

I am gonna find her...SOMEHOW....I will hunt her down....
Either that or I will just check out the lead I got from the lady on the phone who said she might be working at the Gotchalks Salon....and if not I'm S.O.L....

It's bad enough I let my TECHIE dye my hair RED...though my sister say it looks more purple...*sigh* And their Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha, I went and got my low-carb blended mocha before rehearsal...and I didn't even feel like falling asleep at rehearsal, lol. Go caffine! Then again...it does not mean I was not bored....lol...

This director has to stop every few lines and go back, etc...it's like 5 steps forward and 3 back...so everything takes SOOO long. We only got about 3/4 through ONE scene....

Elicia got me these cute lil sticky notes they are my initials, cute stuff...During Laughing Wild I was known as the sticky-tab line Nazi, lol, they always tease me about my sticky tabs, haha. I would go through a pack of stickies in just a couple days, my script always looked so pretty... she also got these little keychain flashlights for us so we can read our scrips backstage during The Crucible run and tech rehearsals...
We have 5 scene changes...and that would not be so bad if the changes were minor, but they are ENTIRE set changes...and to top it off there is just the two of us...I mean, it took us about 15-30 secons to change the minor Laughing Wild set...it will take forever to do this one!

Oh well...

So work today was long...but I got through it...I also read about 1/2 of my The Everything New Teacher Book.....

Hmmm....maybe I have not mentioned that... I am going to college to be a teacher...either 6th grade or 7th grade social studies... I am a Liberal Arts Major while also minoring in History at the same time...I think I can do it...I have 18 units for this fall....and I need around 60 or so to get an AA...at this rate 2 years is great...

Well, no work tomarrow, YAY! Only rehearsal...

Well...after I did ALL that work and re-wrote all the blocking and highlighted those NEW pages for Elicia....the director gives me 2 folders...one for me and one for Elicia....of THE SAME ACT ..."Oh, it's new stuff, with changes..."

Could he not have told me LAST night that he was going to do this?

Oh..and Elicia DID like all the tabs and junk...I think... We both sat on the floor and took our notes...

And visions of cockroaches running down off the stage and up my leg filled my head...(Because we have them and you see A LOT of dead ones lying around and some live ones running around...) And then I said that...and Elicia looked at me and said "Oh god, I didn't think about that, thanks."

No problem E.

So Mike.. (our Crucible light tech and Elicia's hubby) slammed him finger in the door of his truck... and he could not pull it out so he had to fish the keys out of his pocket and unlock the door so he could free his finger....poor guy... He won't be coming to rehearsals this week... Maybe I could follow suit and not have to go too.... Nah....My kidney infection didn't free me....

Otherwise, rehearsal went well...but it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long...we left about 9:15....and did not even finish the ONE scene....

Well, I am very tired....off to bed ...cuz I have to work tomarrow....

I finally finished Elicia's blocking binder! yay! I ran off copies of the scetions she did not have and then I re-wrote all the blocking and highlighted everything...then I seperated each section with labled index tabs and then I put it all in a new, and more fitting binder...

I re-did mine too...and I decided that after highlighting Elicia's ORANGE that my YELLOW highlights where just not bright enough...so after mixing my highlighter colors the best color I got was pink....yet I'm still highlighting....UGH....I wish I hadn't...it's gonna take A LOT longer than I though...and I only have about....an hour until rehearsal...

Maybe I should get my bum off the computer and go finish my work...

So, I got up this morning took a shower and decided it would be nice to have my paycheck in the bank...so I went and got it....

Then I cashed it....yea...minus my car payment and gas...I have $23 left over...OUCH....so I just put that in the bank.

Oh well...so much for that check...Lucky for me I tend to carry cash so I won't slide the card as much...I really hate using it...money goes so much faster that way...

So anyway....

Those binders that the director made up for us...well...they are 1/2 inch binders and with 1 act and 1 divider...it was NOT cutting it...he gave me a couple more scenes to add to the binder...and there is just no more room in there...either the papers will begin tearing or the binder will break, and that's SOOO what I need...to open my binder and either all the papers tear off because their so crammed...OR the even better one...the papers go ALLLLL over the floor and I have NO clue in what order they go in because they are not numbered....

So I went and copied my Act 2 Scene 2 for Elicia, (about 25 pages) and then went to Target to get new and 1/2 inch bigger binders...and dividers for both of us because I am so frekin' anal about my notes begin neat and in order...

One of the actors set his folder down next to me...and after seeing my previous, (still neat at the time blocking binder) he asked me to not organize his folder....

He is old..."er" Late 60's? I think he needs some new material...

Okay, I am off to organize and have lunch....

I hope Elicia does not get mad at me for what I am gonna do...new binder and organized, new pages all highlighted and blocked....eeekkk....

Sooo, the crucible rehearsal went well...nothing went wrong...I have to stand in for our Rebecca....and then Elicia (The stage manager) stood in for Cheever...YES, finally got he onstage...hehehe....

So I was at Savemart doing some shopping and I saw Mike (Elicica's hubby/Laughing Wild Light Tech) and I talked to him for a little while....and HE said that Elicia talked to the director for Radio TBS (This is the play that begins after The Crucible)...Well, this director does not hold regular casting...she calls people and pulls them in....well....she called Elicia who is supposed to stage manage the play and asked her to BE IN THE play...hahahaha, YES!

Now, Elicia is NOT an actor, she is strictly techie...and we are trying to get her to go onstage....

When she was talking to the Radio TBS director Elicia said, well, I have an assistant (aka ME) and .....that was where she shot herself in the foot....The director was like well...since you have her to stage manage, YOU can be IN the play....

I picked on her at rehearsal tonight, hehehe...she's 50/50....She wants to do it..and the other part says don't....

I think she will take it...that is if we suttley press her about it...

She asked if I wanted to go to the re-around with her this Sunday, "Why, not?" I said....

Good grief...my posts are getting boring....

Awww, my first day off..well, almost...I DO have rehearsal tonight...

Today is such a lazy day, I am not even gonna go pick up my paycheck....

I got up about 9am...Not that is sleeping in for me...except for the usual 10-10:30am....

Though....in 2 weeks fall semester begins and I have a 6am class 4 days a week... Ouch!

I guess I better soak it up now...either that or begin training myself to get up earlier... I think I'll go with soap it up...

Sooo, I cleaned out my room and did some "fung-shuei" (sp?) I re-arranged my room...and it only took about 1 1/2... AND I found clothing I forgot I had..well actually just found clothing that was burried on the floor under God knows what... and dun dun dun! I washed them! :-O

Haa Haa Ha......

And I am even changing and washing my bedding... OMG, I'm turning into a mature girl! EEekkk!!!

Wow, I'm in college, got a JOB, bought a new-(ish) car, I can clean my OWN room....AND wash my own clothes...hahahaha....

I'm hungry...maybe it's because I have not eaten today...I guess I will go eat and then copy Elicia's blocking binder...(Because I had to be "Mr. Putnam" during rehearsal and could not hold a binder, write, highlight, read lines and remember blocking at the same frekin' time!) And then I get to copy all that into my script book...augh...

I hate being on stage, that's why I am a techie...I'm not a frekin' swing.... (A swing it someone who can play pretty much any part, knows pratically all the lines and any songs and dances and all blocking for a play.)

More later...

Oh yea, breathing is nice!
