So... nothing much is new under the sun... I'm just trying to focus on school and getting through this semester.... This semester is just an awful semester for me... I've got "Spring Fever" BAD... I mean... I don't--can't... seem to MAKE myself do the work I need to until the VERY last possible second... Ugh, I hate it...
I'm working on a show at the Ice House right now called, "Saturday, Sunday, Monday" iplay the character of "Maria Carolina Priore"...

Besides the show I am STILL trying to get my knee back up to par... and it's going SOOOOO slow...I'm about 9 weeks post op and cheer tryouts are next Monday... SO not going to happen! Luckly, I don't have to tryout... (I know the tryout material, helped make up the dance!)

So... for my birthday I got tickets to see Wicked L.A. my favorite show... AND my freaking IDOL plays one of the two leads!!!! *squee* She's amazing! I mean some people LOVE JLo, or Tom Cruise, or Drew Barrymore, or someone really famous like that. I know most people have no idea as to who my favorite acress is, Ms. Megan Hilty, but I know who she is, and she is AMAZING!!!! She's got an amazing voice and a lot of talent! So, here's my weekend adventure...

*****SSSSSSSSSCCCCCCCCCCCCCRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM****************
Okay.... so I got tickets to see 4/1, matinee... I wanted to see MEGAN and ONLY Megan cuz I had a gift for her and was going to give it to her at SD....WELL.... my dad insisted that my mom and I drive up yesterday... and stay in a hotel.... so we did... and I decided to play the Saturday night 3/31 lottery...Well... I put my name in... and my moms.... and we waited for the lottery to begin.... and I'll never forget the first words out of the girls mouth... "And our FIRST winner tonight is Ashley ..."
My jaw dropped to the floor and I was shaking! OMG!!! I was so excited.... by the time I got to the window to pay I was bawling I was SOOOO stunned and freaked and excited! I was hyperventilating and crying and laughing and smiling ALL at the same time... by the time we got to our car I was not crying anymore... but I could NOT stop smiling... I was in shock and SO surprised...that did not stop until after half the show on Saturday night! I just kept saying, "OMG... I won the Wicked lottery... front row.. I get to see Megan..." lol!!!
Freaking FRONT ROW SEATS, heck yes!!!! It was freaking AMAZING....sitting front row.... you see EVERYTHING and you get to see the facials and expressions...just... EVERYTHING!!!!My mom loved it, too....
Anyway... after the show I FLEW out to the stage door... (2nd one there!) I had my Grimmerie ready for them all to sign and my gift for Megan.... I got autographs from: Jenna Leigh Green who played Nessa, (Remember Libby Chestler from Sabrina the Teenage Witch? Thats her!) and Kristoffer Cusick (Fieryo), John Rubinstein (The Wizard), Eden Espinosa (Elphaba, the other lead, she's AMAZING too!), Adam Wylie (Boq, he's done lots of TV stuff!) and of course Megan!!!
And she was the last one out, of course! I was SOOO excited... she was signing my Grimmerie and I was like, "*squee* (unintentional!!!!) I have something for you!" and she was like, (in her Glinda voice) "Reeaalllly? What IS it???" And so I pick up the bag I have at my feet: hot pink bag with "happy birthday" written all over it and sliver stars on it and glittery green and pink tissue paper.... and she was like, "0o0o0ohhhh" hehehe....It was the scrap book I made... she flipped through it really quick, and was like, "Aww, this is going to make me cry"..... and when she got to the last page, which was the letter I had written to her, and said "I can't even read this right now..." She was almost a little teared up... I felt bad!
And then I asked if she was going to do the matinee the next day and she said NO... and I was like OMG!!!!! I didn't saying anything.... but I was freaking out inside just thinking about how upset I would have been if I would have only gotten tickets for the next day and was not able to see her on stage and met her!
At the matinee on Sunday I saw Megan's standby, Emily, she was really good, but Megan is a lot more peppy and bouncy and she adds SO many little things that make the character SOOO funny! and Emily didn't really do that. BUT I did get to see Eden again, and she was amazing, again!Plus, we had mezzanie, almost backrow seats... and my mom and I could never see the whole stage because of the stupid people in front of us! Grrr..... but we did enjoy it...
Then, after the show we went to the Stage Door, again, to get Eden aka Elphie, to sign our Defy Gravity shirts, but none of the actors came out.... but I don't blame them... on Saturday and Sunday they do 2 shows... and I wouldn't want to come out either... finish show #1 at 4-ish and go back on at 6? I'll take my break, thank you!I ended up coming home with 3 shirts!
