Suprise! Last night..FINAL dress rehearsal might I add, the director spent the ENTIRE show up in the light/sound booth and made, again, many changes....So the new quote is gee, does that really suprise you? or, Let me put on my suprised face! or....

Q: How do you know when Dennis is making changes to the show?
A: His lips are moving....

On of the actor thought that up...gee, real genius there...

Luckly the changes were minor and did not require much re-writing in our scripts...

At the end of the show the whle cast comes out for a curtain call, (when they come out on stage as themselves to take a bow), and the diector wanted a spot light to go from couple to couple and then go center for the other actors and then fade out for the whole cast to bow and then fade back up for one final bow of our leads....

Well, since Mike has light cues right up until the end of the play he cant get up fast enough and flip on the spot light on and set it and plus the spot needs to fade with the stage lights at the end and he can't do both...so, since I have enough time between my last scene change and the end of the play he asked me to come up and run the spot.....

I went to do it for the first time light night, never ran it before, but I am perfectly capable and I know the basics of how to work it and I knew where to shine it...well, Mr. A$$hole...I mean...the director was up there and jumped onto me for turning it on too soon, (Could they not have cued me for stand by then!?!?! plus the fact that I ONLY turned it on, I had the lever down so that no light even ghosted out...) and then he proceed to tell me exactly where top shine the spot...to which I said "I know where it goes..." and he shut up.... That made me mad, I really hate him,...my day was stressful enough without having him jump onto me... So I left right after the fade, did not stick around up there....I went and turned off off my red and blue backstage lights and then he decided to have a cast meeting in the house...I find it really amazing how he can jump onto you and then thank you....I just turned around and said, Your welcome asshole... though I KNOW he did not hear it...but I think Elicia did because he let out a small laugh... I really did not mean to say that outloud...
The director wanted to see some light changes before we left so Elicia and I went outside and sat at the picnic table until they were done...

Anyway, theres my rant to today....I am sick of ranting so I am SURE you all are sick of reading.

We open tonight .....and Mike reminded me about the cookies, he so funny... last time our oven was broke so I went to my Grams' house and we made cookies there..... oh my goodness...there had to be what...150 cookies? More or less? However many, it was A LOT.... so Mike said..."Maybe you could only make like, only a dozen?" I asked why and he said, "Well...*long silence then very quietly* cuz I eat them..." I just laughed...he and Elicia and fairly healthy eaters...at least when their at home...doing theatre does not allow for much home cooking if any....so they eat out...or more often we don't eat at all.

But I am going to go make cookies now...got too lazy yesterday...it was so nice to have a break... I have to work today....I will leave about 12:30...

Oh, and did I mention he have to be down at the theatre by 5-5:30-ish again to make changes. *Suprised face!* Omi God!

To Do List: Make Cookie, get new BLACK pants to wear for opening night, get black gloves to use when moving large wooden furniture....

OH!!! Speaking of! Have I ever mentioned the really unstable large wooden hutch we have to move? It's SUCH a pain in the butt and Elicia and I cringe every time we move it because it's very unstable...We only move it once and since our scene changes are entire sets we had no other choice but to let the actors help us move the set... So we gave the actors small things to move while Elicia and I move the bed, and the table and chairs and the big stuff....all the the hutch...but any way...we just knew we'd eventually knock it over or something would fall off...well, it finally happened...as E andI were moving the bed off stage we heard this CRASH! of glass... Oh shyt! and rolling of the eyes.... I got it Elicia, you go cue the lights...

I spent half that scene cleaning up glass...

Anyway my To Do List...: Cookies, Black pants, black gloves...pick up and drop off mom's meds. All before I go to work....

Then after work, I get off at 5....I have to run home, eat something, shower and get down to the theatre by 5:30....eeeekkkkk.....

I better go NOW, it's already 9:30am!
