The Adventures of "Smart Ash"
Just me and my occasional ramblings!

Yesterday the show went well...for the techies at least, hahaha....one of the actors had just started a mini monolouge and then TOTALLY blanked...*deer in headlights type of look* the actor he was talking to tried to help him out by feeding him a line that should have made him remember, but he apparently jumped to the next thing he could remember which was about 2 1/2 pages ahead of where he was... and he skipped a fairly important part...

All of us on headset were like...uh...where'd he go? And with all the other line mistakes we were probably 3 or 4 pages short, hahaha, but it's okay, techies dont look bad unless the light guy messes up, at least not usually, lol.

After the show they decided to take some pictures for the lobby.... See, each show in the lobby gets a board to put cast photos and show pics up on...our director did not know or care apparently so we are doing it...

Elicia and I locked up the lobby and box office and then some of the actors decided to go to Brewbakers, a resturant downtown....

So 3 of the techies and 5 of the actors and a couple of their spouses went.... We set up 4 tables... and we all sat down.... Elicia looked at me and asked if I was hungry and I said not really, and she and Mike said the same and they thought we should just order appetizers....so we did.... They ordered a platter with chicken strips, mushrooms and onion rings and then a calamari platter... When it got there Elicia asked me to try it...

OMG I can NOT believe I tried squid! But to my suprise it was not bad and I ate a few pieces.... It really did not have a taste to it.... I dont like the fishy taste.... It was really funny though, because when I bit into it they all stared at me to see if I liked it...

We have Radio TBS rehearsal tonight...Oh, goody!

Oh! And last night, one of the actors, Jack, was sitting acrosss from me...he's pretty cool .... well anyway, he is directing the play after Radio TBS called Beyond Karaoke Oh, CRAP I think.... as he begins asking me what my plans are for it....Well, good news and bad... The good news he already has a stage manager (who has to be at every rehearsal) and even though it IS the play right after Radio TBS and their rehearsals begin right after Radio TBS ends however he will not need me till the first couple weeks in January...So I really do not have to go to rehearsals...just the final run-thrus and tech rehearsals...and then ALL the shows, good enough right? WRONG....now the BAD news is that I am going to be the lighting techincian....and that is fine except for I really do not know ANYTHING about lighting!

Mike told me that I could be LtIT (Lighting tech In Training) for Radio TBS and he would have me help in detail with lights... Meaning I will help design, hang and program the computer and lightboard the only thing I will not be able to do is be up in the booth for tech rehearsals and shows because I am also IN the play AND co-stage managing.... When Mike said I was going to be the LtIT, Elicia looked at him and then me and said, "No! How are you going to do that and stage manage and be ON stage?"
*Glancing at Mike and smirking* "I'm super techie, don't you know that?"
Err...Super techie...it's a joke about Mike...he claims the title...but he's about to be shown up, lol

Oh, and my point for that was that I would help him for Radio TBS and learn the ropes and then he would run lights and then for Beyond Karaoke he would help me design, hang, and program but I would run them for the show.

So, I was thinking abotu dying my hair a light carmel/chocolate brown...I more normal-ish color. My hair is a REDbrown color right now...VERY VERY bright under the lights... I am ready to be normal again.... I will go check it out....

So...kittens are doing okay....Eating fairly well...I just wish they would, as gross as it sounds, 'eliminate'....their poor tummies feel SOOO full... I feel like I am going to pop them if I feed them anymore...

Well, I am gonna go...I've got homework to do...

They haven't pooped yet? Uh oh. Guess if they are still eating okay, they don't mind, but don't they HAVE to poop?
Fried calamari is fine, but don't try it any other way, trust me. Even I, the food addict, won't eat it any other way. It's a texture thing!
